To be or not to be a tourist in your own country? My answer to this question will always be yes. Times are changing, regions are growing, underground theme parks are being built – there is always something new to explore! During my latest trip to my home country, I decided to rediscover a place that I last saw some 20 years ago, during my early school years: the salt mine from Turda.

Barcelona is a playground for diversity. The landscape changes with its distinct barrios: Barceloneta beach holds Italian vibes, El Born and the wild mix of tiny bike rental shops, bars and bakeries make me think of a dreamy small French coastal village. The Arabic influences found in El Raval take my thoughts to Marocco and the enchanting view from the top of the Tibidabo Mountain transpose me to Portugal.

Indonesia. Vietnam. Thailand. Malaysia. India. Nepal. Sri Lanka. After spending months travelling through these countries, seeing piles of waste lying on the streets or plastic floating in the ocean almost became normal. I felt utterly sad and angry and developed a genuine concern regarding our oceans and planet.

There was something magical about the mornings I spent along the Côte d’Azur — the warm sun and salty breeze, the smell of fresh coffee, and gentle murmur about art and travel through the streets. The French way of life is very spirited, and yet, serene — and artist Sylvie Tumorticchi elegantly radiates it.

Today I received an email with the subject „get ready for fall!“ My heart stood still for a couple of seconds. I was just getting used to the 23 degrees summer temperatures in Northern Germany and now I already have to prepare myself for fall? As I couldn't accept this just like that, I decided to relive my last tropical vacation in Sri Lanka. That is how a very personal Sri Lankan photo story was born.

Leipzig – a booming Saxonian city located 185km southwest of Berlin, a city that embraces change and welcomes students, artists, and travelers into an alternative-chic atmosphere. Three days in Leipzig might be too short, but one can surely get a first impression of the city and feel it's one of a kind vibe. Exploring the city one neighborhood at the time is, therefore, the best idea. That's what I did and I fell for it.

Summer-time ist camping-time! For Opa Oli, an 83-year-old retiree from Saxony, Germany it is the most anticipated period of the year. As a young boy, he used to go camping with his family on the Baltic Sea shore. Ever since camping became a very important activity and Opa Oli's main summer hobby. He now counts more than 70 summers spend on Usedom's prettiest camping spot, in Ukeritz.

The Sri Lankan city of Negombo is an important commercial and touristic knot, with a bustling beach and market life. While the fish market, situated directly on the beach, remains one of the go-to places for local wanderers, families and restaurant owners, the vegetable and spice market is lesser known but equally interesting and colorful. The proof is the picture of the banana vendor, surrounded by its wares.
